Jeff Allen is a sports therapist, life coach, fitness instructor and ex special forces. He enlisted on a Non Commissioned Officer course, studied for a health and fitness instructor qualification at the National Council for Exercies & Fitness and completed the army's Physical Training Instructors and Reconnaissance courses.
Based in Waterford, Ireland, Jeff is a keen sports enthusiast. Jeff is a veteran of the Irish Permanent Defence Force (PDF) having joined in 1985 and retired after 21 years’ service in 2006. During his time with the PDF, Jeff participated in sports and featured at various times for the army hurling, football, and soccer and tug of war sides.
Like many soldiers, Jeff harboured a great respect for the Army Ranger Wing (ARW), a very small elite unit of Special Forces soldiers. Only candidates who successfully complete a notoriously gruelling one month selection course are considered for entry to the ARW and 90% of all candidates commencing the course fail to make the grade.
In 1997, Jeff set himself a goal to achieve entry to the ARW at the 1999 selection course.
In October 1999, Jeff was one of only nine survivors from 98 hopefuls embarking on the selection course and, after a further nine months of training and probation, he was rewarded with a green beret. Jeff went on to serve five years with the ARW in East Timor and as the force commander’s bodyguard in Ethiopia and Eritrea.
Since retiring from the PDF, Jeff has been involved in an outdoor pursuits business and has also been occupying his time as a sports therapist and life coach. It was through his work as a personal trainer with overweight clients that Jeff came to realise that there is more to long term weight loss than diet and exercise alone. In his one on one consultations with clients, Jeff began to see a recurring theme emerge; his underperforming clients were, for the most part, unwitting victims of their wider lifestyles.
It was through his work with these clients that Jeff began to develop and refine his unique Healthy Lifestyle Program with astonishing results. Buoyed by his success to date, Jeff is keen for as many people as possible to be given the opportunity to benefit from his work.
Agatha Hidalgo Caubin Dip NT, is a Nutritional Therapist having trained with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Cork and a Nutrition and Health education provider.
My journey started in 2005 at the Natural Healing Centre in Cork where I began a Practitioners Diploma Course in Reflexology.
I had always been interested in looking for new ways to improve my health. It was here that I was introduced to a new way of looking and understanding the human body and its ability to heal. I had always suffered from chronic asthma, allergies and my immune system seemed to be in poor shape as I spent most of the winter months sick with chest infections and colds.
Then in 2008, I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It was at this point that I decided that I had to do something and I started looking at my Diet and life style. I made small changes and felt that this was making a difference so after a lot of searching I began my studies with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Cork.
Since graduating in 2011 I have worked in a variety of very interesting projects. I started working in the Natural Fertility Clinic where I was part of a team of therapists focusing on bringing balance to the body by combining different holistic approaches.
It was here that my passion for researching and working in this field was born. I began giving Nutritional talks in the local community and then after many months of research in 2013 I began teaching in Cork & Waterford a Nutrition Course based on the latest Nutritional research.
